The Purple Cat plans October Ribbon CuttingSeptember 8, 2009
The new Purple Cat at Farmer Casey’s Ranch opened its doors in mid-June and a celebration is being planned along with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for October. The two-day event will get underway on Thursday, October 8 at 10:00am with a Meet & Greet, followed by the ribbon cutting at 11:30am and Open House at Noon for the public and clients and their families. The event will extend to the next evening when the organization has an invitation-only gathering on Friday for shareholders, board members and supporters of the Purple Cat’s sister organization, Golden String.
The open house will feature tours of the new 2,500 square foot addition where the Purple Cat program is housed as well as the improved barn where the clients exercise, new fishing deck along the 7-acre lake that plays host to Golden String’s summer fishing camp for school-aged children with disabilities and the new covered pavilion built to house many of the socialization activities for the clients.
