The Pearl Street Mission which houses ISLE offices, the Purple Cat, and Golden String Radio is facing many improvements. One exciting improvement is a remodeling of the gymnasium. The Gym was recently magnificently painted by Leo Jay’s Carney Painting and is getting a new floor sanding and new basketball lines painted on the floor. Donated glass backboards from St. Nick’s Church in Struthers and St. John’s Church in Ashtabula were expertly hung by Tony Santangelo and Louie Kennedy.
The gym houses Purple Cat exercise programming, parties, and the soon to be revival of “The Freak League” basketball league sponsored by Golden String Inc.
